Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 13, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Edgerton PLLC website, including its informational pages, contact forms, appointment scheduling tools, payment tools, document tools, and related online services. By using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Informational Website Only
The content on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It is not legal advice and does not address the facts of your particular situation. You should consult a licensed attorney about your specific legal needs.
Edgerton PLLC does not guarantee website content is complete, current, or applicable to your circumstances. Laws and legal procedures change, and information on this website might not reflect the law in your jurisdiction or the law currently in effect.
2. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Your use of this website, submission of a contact form or intake form, scheduling of an appointment, payment of a consultation fee, exchange of email, or other communication with Edgerton PLLC does not create an attorney-client relationship.
An attorney-client relationship begins only after Edgerton PLLC completes its conflicts review, confirms acceptance of the engagement, agrees with you in writing on the scope and terms of representation, and completes any required engagement process.
Edgerton PLLC does not represent you until those steps are complete. Do not rely on communications from the firm as legal advice or as a commitment to represent you unless the firm confirms representation in a written engagement agreement.
3. Confidentiality and Sensitive Information
Please do not submit confidential, privileged, highly sensitive, or time-sensitive information through this website, an online form, an appointment request, or ordinary email unless Edgerton PLLC has instructed you to use an approved secure method.
Information submitted before an attorney-client relationship exists might not be protected by attorney-client privilege. Sending information to the firm does not prevent the firm from representing another person or organization in a matter involving you.
Do not use this website to submit information about an impending deadline, court date, filing deadline, emergency, or other matter requiring immediate action. Edgerton PLLC does not monitor website submissions continuously and does not guarantee a particular response time.
4. Appointments and Consultations
Appointment availability does not guarantee representation. An Introductory Call is limited to general intake and fit assessment. It is not a legal consultation and does not include legal advice.
A paid attorney consultation is subject to the terms presented during booking and any additional written terms provided by Edgerton PLLC. Payment for a consultation does not guarantee representation, a particular result, or acceptance of a matter.
If you need to reschedule an appointment, use the available scheduling options or contact the firm promptly. Missed appointments, cancellations, refunds, and consultation-fee credits are governed by the terms presented at booking or in a separate written agreement.
5. Payments
Payment requests, consultation fees, invoices, and other charges are governed by the terms displayed at the time of payment or stated in a written agreement. Payment does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee legal services.
You agree to provide accurate payment and contact information. Edgerton PLLC reserves the right to decline, cancel, or return a payment when a matter is not accepted, a conflicts issue exists, a payment cannot be verified, or another legitimate operational or professional-responsibility concern applies.
6. Electronic Communications and Documents
Electronic communications and documents involve security, delivery, compatibility, and access risks. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and reviewing documents carefully before signing or submitting them.
A document-signature request, form submission, or payment confirmation does not by itself establish the scope of legal services or confirm that Edgerton PLLC has accepted representation.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the text, design, logos, graphics, photographs, videos, downloads, and other materials on this website belong to Edgerton PLLC or are used with permission.
You may view and download materials for personal, noncommercial use. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, or create derivative works from website materials without written permission, except as permitted by law.
8. Third-Party Websites and Services
This website might link to third-party websites, platforms, payment providers, scheduling tools, or other services. Edgerton PLLC does not control or endorse third-party content, policies, security, availability, or practices.
Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service’s terms and privacy policy.
9. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use this website to:
- Violate applicable law or the rights of another person
- Submit false, misleading, or unauthorized information
- Interfere with the website or attempt to gain unauthorized access
- Upload malicious code or harmful material
- Scrape, harvest, or collect information without authorization
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Use the website to submit an emergency or time-sensitive legal request
10. Website Availability and Warranties
Edgerton PLLC seeks to maintain an accurate and accessible website but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, complete security, or compatibility with every device or browser.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits a right or remedy that applicable law does not permit the firm to limit.
11. Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edgerton PLLC is not responsible for losses resulting from your reliance on general website content, your inability to access the website, third-party services, transmission failures, unauthorized access, or your failure to seek timely legal advice for your circumstances.
12. Privacy
Your use of this website is also governed by the Edgerton PLLC Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how the firm handles information submitted through the website and related online services.
13. Changes to These Terms

14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.
